点评：First, where is it? On the east side of the town Fernie, is a Fernie sign by an oil derrick. Turn there to the parking lot for the visitors center. The visitors center is interesting in its own way. Souvenirs are available as well as a knowledgeable person and good rest rooms.
The trail is at first "tame," looking like you're hiking in someone's backyard, but then, when it gets to the creek, it becomes more and more wild. The views are exceptional. The waterfall worth the hike. The trail itself is fairly easy. One caveat: There is the possibility of bears in the area. I was by myself. Not the best situation for bear country. But I sing and talk to myself or whistle, or otherwise make noise unless I meet other people. You could also wear "bear bells," things you wrap around your ankles that jingle as you walk. Either way, it was an enjoyable and relatively easy hike of about 4 kilometers or 3 miles round trip.
