I was getting my kids into the car when a man in a blue pick up was gesturing something to me..I thought he wanted to park where I was. He gestured again and I went up to his window to speak to him as I didn't know what he was gesturing. He got out and said I hadn't paid for my strawberries. That I had come from the field behind and just put them in my car. I had been no where near that field and I had come from the opposite direction from the pay point. He asked to see my receipt again saying I hadn't paid. Didn't identify himself. He has absolutely made this up and was clearly targeting me because I am brown as there was no basis whatsoever for this false accusation. He hadn't actually seen anything other than me putting the strawberries in the car. I paid by card and wasn't given a receipt but obviously had the payment on my bank statement as proof. MAKE SURE YOU GET A RECEIPT otherwise you'll be accused of stealing with some wild story of coming from a field you've never even stepped foot on. Awful experience. If my kids want to go again I'll make sure to send MY WHITE, ENGLISH husband as clearly all people with brown skin must be theives and will be accused even if they have paid.
