点评：This is a 1,400 meter high glacial lake at the back of the valley, past the towns of Gstaad and Lauenen, reached by a very narrow and windy road. It's well-off the tourist path, but Swiss know the area very well and it's a big retreat for locals. The views are absolutely stunning, and there are a lot of different hiking trails to take--from an easy one around the lake to more difficult ones into the mountains. There is also a restaurant here, a great place to relax and enjoy the views. It would be an ideal place for a picnic, but there are not a lot of benches or places to sit around the lake. There are a few, however, including one area with a couple larger tables and some charcoal grills for free use. This is the place to come and completely remove yourself from the world and soak up some of the most beautiful scenery in Switzerland.
The biggest drawback is the parking. There is a decent-sized lot (I don't know as it ever gets that crowded here), but it is a pay lot. The minimum time to purchase is 6 hours, nothing less. And the only way to pay is with coins or via QR code. Who has 15 francs of coins in change? Plus the valley is so narrow that getting a mobile signal to activate the QR code can be frequently problematic! What a hassle. If parking is too complicated, the bus from Gstaad does come here, but on these roads it must be a harrowing drive!
