Breathtaking views worth every drop of sweat!
钻石头山的点评
点评：This experience was worth every drop of sweat and mud on my shoes. The breathtaking views at the top of Diamond Head are well worth it. I personally would encourage those that want to have this experience to book the 6-8am time slot directly from the Hawaii State website.
What is nice about the 6-8 am time slot is the following:
1. There is a large population of folks entering at the same time. While it is dark, plenty have flashlights and headlamps to guide the path. We used each other as motivation to make the trek.
2. It takes 30-40 minutes to get to the top of you move at a casual pace. Doing so allows you to get into position for the sunrise.
3. As of December 2025, sunrise is at 7am. This allows you to get some brilliant photos and videos.
**** Be mindful of the bugs at the top of the volcanic crater. Im still itchy four days later. Maybe wear long sleeves****
4. The trek down is in the sunlight and allows you to take your time and grab photos you would t have been able to get on the way up.
I enjoyed this hike. It was moderate in difficulty due to the recent abundance of rain. However, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Wear waterproof shoes and be mindful of the uneven terrain.
