点评：This is probably a must do for the sweeping view you get at the top of the hike of Honolulu, and the surrounding volcanic mountains (often decorated with a beautiful rainbow). Reservations are needed and we booked the 2-4pm slot online a few weeks ahead of our visit. We did the trip from our hotel to the park using Uber ; note that Uber, as well as buses, stop a bit far from the park entrance so you’ll have to walk 10-15 min to get to the check in gate where they scan your QR code. Once inside, you can buy bottled water, or aluminium bottles that you can fill at the water fountains. After the hike starts it’s just a long, winding path up to the top with some stairs at the end. While the site marks it as a moderately difficult climb, it depends on your physical condition so if you feel tired, make some breaks in between as the last leg is mostly stairs. The experience on the way and once at the top makes it worth it with lots of good memories and pictures to bring back home.
