点评:First stop of the day was here and so glad we stopped. Not only did we get a good map of Fairbanks, but the man also circled the best things to do for the day. There is a wonderful museum type layout of the Welcome Center to give you an overall idea of the culture in Alaska. We walked along the river to downtown Anchorage and strolled around. Then went to the College overlook to see if we could 'see' Mt McKinley (was too cloudy), lunch stop was at a cute healthy restaurant called Little Owl Cafe, followed by a stop at Creamer's Field to see the bird sanctuary and hike a little. Next we headed north to check out the Pipeline and then back down for a drink in Anchorage. We also found a nice resale shop (Terry's) at the '21 Shops'. We then went to Pioneer Park which was more a tourist trap then we like - but if you have kids, you should definitely stop there, they would love it. If you want to eat near Pioneer Park, I suggest the Alaskan Salmon Bake Restaurant - which is an all-outdoor seating buffet type set up within Pioneer Park. Weather would have to be ideal!
