点评：The house itself isn’t mind-blowing, filled with beautiful furnishings or even filled with original furnishings. There are other things, however, that made it enjoyable. There’s a renovated visitors’ center in an old pharmacy building behind the house. This includes a nice set of restrooms for visitors to use. The grounds of the house are beautiful. Our tour guide was not bubbly and lively, but she was friendly, relatable, down-to-earth and didn’t sound like she was reciting the material. I enjoyed her tour. As mentioned, there isn’t much that is original or absolutely stunning in the house, but it’s obvious that a lot of time and effort have gone into saving this property and replicating period furnishings to the best of their abilities. The staircase and quality of the original construction are impressive. Visitors should be aware that their GPS might direct them to the actual house instead of the visitors’ center. You need to go to the pharmacy building to buy tickets. Tours also leave less frequently than at some of the other houses, so note the specific tour times on the website.
