Still enjoy this museum after more than five decades of visits

点评：My first visit to the St. Louis National museum of transportation was around 1973, while on a family vacation. At that age, it was really neat to be able to climb into cars and especially a caboose. Well, it still is neat. This museum has many of their cars and some locomotive cabs open to walk in and through.
I have returned with my own children while visiting St. Louis again and now with my adult children on a current St. Louis trip. The museum continues to improve, update and grow. They have multiple fully enclosed buildings (which was nice during the rain) as well as some canopied areas for engines and cars. Very interesting addition is the XP2 Hyperloop vehicle- learned a bunch about that project from the visit.
Definitely worth a visit with or without children, at any age. On a sunny day they have active rides and tours available.
One thing that is consistent over all the years - St. Louis is hot in the summer. Bring a hat!
