A particularly thrilling section follows a bridge overlooking a narrow part of the gorge, where we observed canyoning participants navigating the waters below with a mix of trepidation and excitement. The subsequent ascent through a narrow crevice marked the beginning of the more challenging portion of our hike.
As we climbed higher, leaving the cooling effect of the stream behind, the forest slope presented a steep but engaging path. The adventure continued with stepped sections, a notable rock face flanked by benches, and finally emerging onto a serene meadow.
Our journey concluded unexpectedly at the Berggasthof Alpenblick, a welcome sight at 980 meters elevation, where we could reflect on our adventure over a cup of coffee.
