Expected More About Thoroughbreds

点评：We did the combined Kentucky Derby Museum, complimentray Churchill Downs tour, and Heritage Farm Tour. The farm experience was about 3 1/2 hours.
The tour devoted only 1 hour to talking about thoroughbreds, and very little of that was about the process of raising thoroughbreds; thus it failed to provide the "immersive" experience as described on the museum's website. Maybe provide more time for what we expected by dropping the bourbon tasting and/or shortening the horticultural discussion.
Our tour guide, Sara?, did a very good job considering the script was mostly about what each barn was used for, the current and previous owner's racing successes, and the history of the farm. Interesting, but not focused on raising thoroughbreds.
The box lunch was dissappointing considering that the kitchen staff is supposedly capable of creating gourmet meals. The sandwich bread was hard, maybe just old, and no condiments were provided so it was a very dry sandwich. The bean salad side had an odd-tasting dressing on it.
