点评：One of the best tours that I’ve ever been on in my entire life!
Several people who were local had recommended this tour. It’s less than an hour from Charleston, but back kind of in the middle of a neighborhood. It is an old coal mine that a family bought to use for tours so people who are not familiar with the coal mines could get to know what it is like to be a miner. For me personally, the tour was life-changing. You go down into the mine just as if you worked there. There’s a tour guide, a retired miner, explaining everything you see. He took lots of questions and you could actually hear and understand what he was saying! He talked about mining from 1900 to present times. He talked about how mining has changed and how it has stayed the same. He also told us how dangerous it was. That part was absolutely shocking! I knew being a minor was dangerous, but I had absolutely no idea. It was as dangerous as it is even today. I would highly recommend anyone from age 8 to 100 take this tour! It could change your life!
