点评:This is absolutely beautiful spot where the lighthouse is located. You can see far into the ocean, surrounding small islands, even another small lighthouse on Ram Island (I think that's the correct name of it). Going towards it we passed by donation box on a pole in the form of a house where we put a few dollars. In the small museum you can see several lighthouse lenses and informative displays. The lighthouse itself is open to the public only once a year, on Maine Open Lighthouse Day and unfortunately it was not the day we visited it. The plaque on the wall will tell you the names of the light keepers and other plaque remembers crew of U.S.S.Eagle-56 which sunk near-by after being torpedoed by German U-boat. And also wonderful bell from 1901. We stood at the cliff watching the ocean waters hitting the stones and I was thinking what a place and what everything these cliffs saw through the centuries.
