An incredible 2+ mile hike
Cascade Canyon Trail的点评
点评：Our family of five (all adults) enjoyed the 2-plus mile hike into Cascade Canyon at Teton National Park in early June.
We opted to take the Jenny Lake boat shuttle for $20 each rather than hiking the Jenny Lake Trail to reach the trailhead to Cascade Canyon. Please note that the boat is very busy (we arrived at 7:45 a.m. and waited to board the second boat of the morning at about 9:15 a.m.). That said, our legs were fresh for the hike when we arrived off the boat. A tip, aim to return to the boat landing shortly after lunch to avoid the extremely long lines which accumulate later in the afternoon.
The hike to Hidden Falls and then Inspiration Point and then Cascade Canyon is filled with countless photo opportunities. The most difficult part of the hike is a stone staircase climb (no railings) upwards. There is one narrow part which I would be a bit concerned about if traveling with children or someone who doesn't handle heights well. Patience through this portion as some are going up and others are coming down is a key.
Cascade Canyon itself is a wonderful destination as the vista opens up, free of trees with a gentle stream meandering through the valley. We heard/saw the rustling in the brush of a moose in the Canyon.
