点评：Our visit to the House of the Seven Gables in Salem, MA, was a highlight of our trip and an experience I won’t soon forget. This historic site, famously connected to Nathaniel Hawthorne, offers a fascinating dive into early American architecture and literary history. I loved learning about the house’s owners and admiring the unique architectural details, including the hidden staircase—a thrilling feature that added a sense of mystery and excitement to the tour. You can truly feel the depth of history in every room and hallway.
What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was our tour guide, Josie. Our group, with members from across the U.S. and Canada, all agreed that Josie was exceptional. Their depth of knowledge and engaging delivery made each part of the tour come alive, and their passion for the subject matter shone through. Josie’s insights brought the house’s history to life, making the tour captivating from start to finish.
Exploring the grounds and visiting the gift shop were also fantastic additions to the experience. The entry fee was well worth it for such an immersive activity. This was hands down my favorite experience in Salem, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting!
