点评:I lived in Abington Township my entire life, as did my parents and grandparents before me. I moved into a 65+ community 6 years ago. I spent many happy hours at Alverthorpe Park, but it always bothered me that it excluded anyone not in the township. Now, after living there and paying taxes 70+ years, I am no longer permitted entry because I am not a resident. I find that heartbreaking. I never believed that a public park should be made private and exclusive anyway and will always been dismayed that Abington Township maintains this exclusive policy. It is a beautiful, well-maintained park. I miss it. But I'm an "outsider" now. I didn't know how to rate it. When did I go? I went there since it belonged to the township and even before, when it was owned by the Rosenwalds. (That is about 70 years.) Keeping it exclusive is unfair to the memory of that great Rosenwald family, who were humanitarians and would never wish to exclude anyone.
