A Cool Stop on a Hot Day—Battleship Was the Highlight!

点评：We visited Nauticus on our way from Virginia Beach to Williamsburg, and it ended up being a great stop—especially with the heat that day. We were hoping the battleship would offer some relief from the sun, but spoiler: it was still really hot. That said, walking through the Battleship Wisconsin was definitely the best part of the visit. It was massive, easy to get turned around in (in a fun way), and gave us a real sense of what life on board must have been like.
Inside the museum, there were plenty of hands-on exhibits, with lots of opportunities for the kids to explore and learn. They could have easily spent hours doing all the interactive things, but after lunch in the café, it was time to keep moving toward our next hotel.
Overall, it’s a great place to learn, cool off a bit, and let the kids explore something different. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the Norfolk area or passing through like we were.
