Sudama Setu (Sudama Bridge)的点评
点评：Sudama setu is just a bridge near Dwarkadhish temple to walk to the other end of Gomti River.
This bridge connects Dwarkadhish temple from one side to the Panchananda Tirth on the other side of Gomti River.
The other side of Gomti river also houses camel rides, ATV rides etc
It is an ideal place for photography of the beautiful Dwarkadhish temple.
Sudama Setu is architecturally impressive and aesthetically beautiful.
An nominal entrance fee of Rs.10 is collected from devotees to enter sudama setu
This bridge, spanning across the Gomati River, resembles the Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula at Rishikesh.
On the banks of the other side of the river there is a temple dedicated to Saint Mirabai, the eternal bhakta and self-proclaimed consort of Lord Krishna. As per folklore, she had renounced pleasures to surrender herself to the Lord and spent her last days at Dwarka. She composed most of her hymns and bhajans singing praises to the Lord here. Finally, she vanished into the idol of Lord Dwarkadhish and attained sublime union and moksha. Hence Dwarka is inseparably linked with Meera bai and Lord Krishna (Dwarka was His Kingdom). This temple is situated in within a cave-like temple. The idol of Saint Mirabai exudes peace and love. A nearby shrine houses the Lord's statue. From here the river appears blue for a distance and then it merges into the grey Arabian Sea.
Sudama was Lord Krishna's childhood friend. He had come to Dwarka steeped in penury, with a humble offering of puffed rice for his dear friend, the ruler of Dwarka. Lord Krishna greeted him happily, washed his feet and embraced him and then abundantly blessed him with riches in return.
The bridge is neatly maintained.
From the bridge one can have a beautiful view of Dwarkadhish temple, Gomti river, Sangam etc
Worth visiting at least once.
