点评:We were visiting the area and booked to go to Jacquinot in their last tour of the day. We were extremely lucky to have the owner Jean-Manuel Jacquinot doing our tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, full of really interesting facts and tales about his time in the champagne and sparkling wine industry. His family have been making Champagne in Epernay since 1949 and he has worked in India and the UK helping to set up sparkling wine companies there. The tour was wry interesting as a smaller family run Champagne house. We went into the caves (106 steps!), saw the cages and the turning of the bottles and how the disgorging process would work. He also invited us back to see the disgorging the following day if we were still in town! We were then lucky enough to try his private cuvee (delicious), blanc de blanc (which was quite acidic but moreish!) and blanc de noir (very fruity). We sat around and chatted with him for quite a long time and then happily purchased some of the champagne to take home and enjoy. Would definitely recommend as we were made to feel very welcome and we had a wonderful time.
