点评:I wouldn’t recommend specifically searching this one out, but if you are walking the picturesque sea front promenade of Bari, then its worth carrying on to see this small harbour and undercover fish market with its collection of colourful small fishing boats bobbing about. It’s fairly easy to find as it is the pier that juts out into the sea located behind the striking dark red Teatro Margherita building, that is difficult to miss.
The undercover pier houses a small fish market, where the local fisherman sell their catch when returning, usually early morning. It also houses a small bar with external tables called El Chiringuito, which we were initially tempted by as it was approaching mid day when we made it here. But it was still quite busy with salty sea dog types that looked like they had been in situ since selling their catch earlier. I’m sure it would have been fine, but we opted to continue the small distance back into the old town to one of the quaint bars in there.
