点评:Having travelled on the Hull to Rotterdam ferry before and visiting Rotterdam we thought we would try Amsterdam this time. The last time we came the service was seamless but on this occasion unfortunately I’m struggling to even give an average rating.
When we arrived and went to check in the queues were ridiculous, for most of the process there was one person checking in on a desk but other staff were available (just not doing anything, stood around talking mainly). We eventually got checked in and were picked for a random security check - fair enough but there was no equipment to scan bags so we had to have each case/ bag individually opened and every single item went through in fine detail. From waiting in check in to this it was about one hour and a half, we were then sent to wait for the bus to take us to ferry. A lady working for p and o decided to let a coach full of passengers through leaving me, my husband and plenty of others waiting so this was about another 30 minute wait in total.
We were told all of the above was due to them trialling a new system - whilst I appreciate new systems need to be tested, surely it would make more sense to test this out on a quieter ferry rather than a weekend one.
We eventually got on the bus due to the jetty bridge still being broken after months and months and made our way to the ferry. The queue for the tiny lift was ridiculous so we had no choice but to cart everything up about 14 flights of steps.
The ferry itself is fine, the staff are friendly enough but we will not be travelling again by ferry until the jetty bridge is fixed and the new system is embedded properly. Flying is a far more seamless process!
Disappointing customer service at Hull - staff aren’t happy to be there and don’t acknowledge anything you have to say.

赫尔的客户服务令人失望——工作人员态度很差,而且对你所说的任何话都置之不理。
