点评：Initially when we got there we were delighted to find it was free parking which also doubles as a beautiful wooded picnic. There is a place to buy ice cream, drinks and food, we only had drinks but the food looked ok. Beach was sandy and very clean, there is a life guard station although this was not manned in May. It is an estuary and the tide comes in and out rapidly so don’t pick a sport too far down the beach. When we first arrived the tide was out and lots of people to raking for cockles and razor clams. There is a little train that you can take a ride on and dogs go free but can’t take up a seat. We didn’t go on the train but we will next time as it looked like fun. There is shaded areas on the edge of the beach which was cooler and dogs are allowed on the beach except for 1st July to 31st August. Lots of oyster shacks and nice restaurants on the way back to go over the bridge where we stopped for a food before leaving. There is also lots of campsites which we will also try out as they looked well maintained with lots of amenities.
