点评:My 12 YO grandsons loved the experience. I was surprised at their knowledge of climates and geography. It’s an inside and outside self guided tour. I was given a tablet that we could see and hear video explaining the stops. Different climates and an ocean influencing area. The thought that went into massive undertaking years ago is mind boggling. The “lung” that equalized the climate as it heated up and cooled down, wow. The sealant on the glass panes is still enforce after years of Arizona summers, great product!
The staff at the entrance were great with hints and tips. If you go in May-October go early to avoid the heat. Take a refillable water bottle is another tip; water filing opportunities. I was disappointed that there was not a food option. Maybe 10-15 miles south many fast food and sit down choices. Stairs with ramps for mobility
choices, it is on different levels.
The science for me was the clincher. It is still in use by U of A, next project is “moon environment“ project.
Lots of free parking, the history of the property from homesteading to now covered.
Allow 2 hours minimum.
