点评：I visited the United Nations Headquarters in NYC, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Growing up hearing about the UN's role in international conflicts, it felt surreal to stand in the very rooms where global missions and decisions take place.
The building has a historic, international atmosphere, you’ll encounter staff, diplomats, and visitors from all around the world speaking different languages. It’s important to keep in mind that the UN is a working space, so things are always in motion and sessions may be in progress. I recommend being quiet and respectful.
As you walk around, you’ll see incredible artworks and installations gifted by member countries, displayed both indoors and outdoors. I think that each piece reflects a unique culture and message of peace.
If you’re interested in global affairs, it’s definitely worth a visit. Just a tip: try to avoid September, when the major annual UN General Assembly takes place, the place is closed to public and there are no tours in session.
