A wonderful semi-wilderness cabin

点评：We rented a lovely cabin with plenty of room inside which was very clean. It was a good deal at that price in such a wonderful setting. The air conditioning was very good and very welcome as as it went above 110*F that day. One minor suggestion is that it would be nice if there were a couple of seats and a small table on the balcony (like the ones we found at Roper Lake and Brownwood Lake).
It was good fun watching the small birds taking turns to get water from the outside tap that was dripping a little. Fortunately on Oct 1st the fire ban was lifted so we enjoyed a small cooking fire. As the sun went down we could see the ever changing fantastic colours of the mountain and sky. At twilight we also saw lots of furry critters. It was really nice having our barbecue and some beer. Later on the clear dry skies meant that it was a really starry night despite close proximity to Phoenix, which added to the experience.
The showers are a short walk away and we found them spotlessly clean with nice hot water and powerful heads. You will need a torch as it gets really dark. At the shower we were also surprised to find a giant frog.
