Visit Wing Haven for Stunning Flora in Charming Gardens

点评：My husband and I were in Charlotte on a business and pleasure trip and, while there, we visited four gardens. The first of these was Wing Haven on April 10, 2025, and there is so much to love there.
First let me say, we are both in our fifties and I am disabled after a knee replacement went bad, though I can walk. My husband has recently been having knee trouble. We were able to get around the gardens easily, as there are paths and it is all level ground.
We luxuriated in the many bird calls and bubbling water features. We expected to see many birds, given the name of the garden, but what we mostly saw was movement in our periphery—birds alighting and taking flight in the lush foliage of shrubs and trees. So peaceful and calming. We did see a couple of cardinals near a set of bird feeders.
Of particular note were the gorgeous Kwanzan Cherry trees and stunning Snowball Viburnum trees. Absolutely showstopping. And there is a long rectangular pool beneath some of the Kwanzans and the surface of the water was nearly solid with beautiful pink petals. Many of the camellias (red, pink, white) were still in bloom, though I can imagine that last week they would have been breathtaking. There were a few roses blooming but many more in glorious bud. So much to enjoy at Wing Haven throughout spring and summer, I’m sure. And possibly on into fall.
We wholeheartedly recommend visiting Wing Haven and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
