点评：If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot on the Cabbage Island Clambake, do it — immediately. From start to finish, this experience is the perfect combo of classic Maine charm, mouthwatering food, and the kind of warm hospitality you wish you could bottle up and bring home.
The adventure begins aboard the Bennie Alice, a scenic boat ride complete with a guided tour that sets the stage for what’s to come. Once on the island, it’s pure magic — think beautiful coastal views, quiet trails to explore, and even a few sweet island cats to greet you like furry little tour guides.
The Moore family runs this tradition with love and personality. Bob Moore and his sister Betty are incredibly kind and easy to chat with — you’ll feel like part of the family within minutes. Kathy, Bob’s wife, is an absolute gem running the gift shop — warm, witty, and totally delightful. Their son Ryan brings energy and enthusiasm to the whole experience, making sure every guest feels special. And shoutout to Greg the grillmaster, who not only cooked a clambake that dreams are made of, but also answered every one of my daughter’s lobster questions like a true crustacean whisperer.
The food? Off-the-charts delicious. Lobster, clams, chowder, corn, blueberry cake… it’s everything you want from a Maine feast and then some.
