点评：We just spent a fantastic week in Sweden, and this tour was my family's absolute favorite part of the trip! Our guide, Bo, was so kind. We were waiting at the wrong port in Hönö by accident, but he called us and talked us through the directions for how to find the correct port in Fotö, and he waited until we got there instead of leaving without us. This meant so much to us.
The tour was so interesting and informative. Bo is a wonderful teacher and storyteller. He taught us so much about Scandanavian history, the nature and geology of the area, and the culture of the people who lived on Vinga and Fotö. He taught us about the harbor seals that live in the area, and he worked hard to find us an island full of them so we could see them up close. He showed us a colony of about 15 seals and we watched them peacefully basking in the sun and playing in the water. You can tell that Bo has a deep love and respect for nature, the sea, and these islands.
Then we docked at Vinga and toured the island, and Bo shared so many interesting stories about the lighthouse and the optical telegraphs that were used on the island. We learned about Evert Taube, the famous musician who lived on Vinga. We met the friendly goats who graze on the island. We climbed to the top of the lighthouse for a beautiful view of the entire island and surrounding ocean.
We enjoyed some ice cream at the harbor before our return trip. It was a peaceful, stimulating, educational journey that we will never forget. Thank you, Bo and Hönö Båtturer!
