点评:I really wanted to like this tent camping trip but we were disappointed. I was trying to find a place with a nice swimming or wading beach along the lines of Ludington state park in Michigan. You could smell both beaches before you got close to the water. The sand was covered in goose crap. Muck floated in the water. I could not believe people had their little kids playing in the sand and soaking in the brown water. All I could think about was brain eating amoebas. Also the "falls" was a little bit of water falling and you had to go down truly dangerous natural stairs to get there.
Walking away from the falls down the trail, we ran across so many fallen trees that we had to climb over them repeatedly. Also, there was a millipede plague. Millions of dead millipedes literally, LITERALLY inches thick in stagnant water along the trails. They STANK. I know this is not something the park can control but we left a day early due to the millipedes.
The positive things were that the campsite was well maintained, our tent site was very private, the bathroom was fine for a camp bathroom, and we got in some good stargazing and saw some of the Perseid meteors. But we will not be returning to this area to camp. Like I said we left a day early and spent the day at House on the Rock.
