点评：What an unexpected find during our wk visit to Silver City! I hadn't seen much written online about this place so saved it for the end of our trip. Boy were we surprised! LOVED this area. If you like to hike/bike/run this is the area for you.
Difficult trails? Not too bad. We've hiked a lot harder!! I would say mid range difficult level. Kids could definitely hike this area with you especially if they have done this type of activity with you before. Would not be stroller friendly.
Dog friendly? Depends on your dog, their age and skill level. Lots of rocky areas so smaller feet may struggle. Dog booties could be helpful for those dogs who will tolerate them!
Trail markings are good, not great. Most of the trails are loops so not too hard to find your way back to your trailhead. We ended up on a few wrong turns based on our initial plans, but all came back to where we needed and enjoyed our day thoroughly!
We hiked from 2 different trail heads: Cheyenne and Cooper. Both trail heads are in Google maps and easy to find.
Go online and take a screen shot of the trail map or take a screen shot of the map at the trail head. Was helpful to have as we worked our way around.
We had the trail system nearly to ourselves the entire day. We went mid day on a Wed during the Spring so to be expected. If you can go off time and feel like you have the world to yourselves!
No entry fee.
