点评：This is the state park at Inks Lake, around 10 miles from Burnet in the Texas Hill Country. Park fees apply, day use can be paid for online prior to your visit. Daily use fee ($7 per adult) Otherwise, you can use the state park HQ. Office hours are 8am to 5pm daily. The park itself is open from 6am to 10pm every day.
Inks Lake is a flood control lake so the water level varies little. Visitors can enjoy boating, kayaking, swimming and fishing on the water as well as 9 miles of hiking trails and camping within the state park. There is a park store where you can rent paddle boats, kayaks and purchase supply for camping or fishing needs as well.
I recently spent a morning in the state park, enjoyed watching a couple anglers land bass and sunfish from the south pier. Also took in a couple of the hiking trails including the Lake Trail and the Pecan Flats Trail, a nice roughly 3 mile walk upon elevated hilly land to the south of the lake where there are some nice viewpoints. Quite a few does and a couple of fawns seen on the morning as well.
