点评:We loved hiking in Bon Secour! We took the ferry over from Dauphin Island and arrived right at Bon Secour when it opened at 9. The lot was empty then but full when we left around 11!
Our family of 6 (youngest age 7!) enjoyed walking the Pine Beach Trail. The trail was well-marked and easy to walk / navigate. It was very tiring at parts because some of the trails were on sand - that gets hard to walk on after a while and could be very hot in the summer. But it was great for us in March, and well worth the effort…. the trail led us out to a beautiful, pristine, white sand beach where we saw dolphins swim by. It was magical!
We took the Gator Lake trail back, which led us to Mobile Ave. Earlier at the overlook, we met a nice volunteer who told us we might find an alligator on Mobile. He was right— we saw two! We didn’t see any in Gator Lake but they were in the swampy area off Mobile.
It was such a beautiful morning for our family.
