Great, amazing but challenging experience!
Ha'ena State Park的点评
点评：Haʻena State Park was a perfect getaway for us during our honeymoon! The park is absolutely breathtaking, with lush greenery, stunning ocean views, and the serene atmosphere that made it feel like our own little paradise. We spent a lot of time exploring the park’s famous trail to Hanakapiai beach, and the views from the trail were beyond words. The coastline, with its towering cliffs and crystal-clear water, was the kind of beauty we’d only seen in postcards.
The hike, however, was intense and long—definitely not for beginners or small kids. The trails were muddy, and there were some pretty steep and felt like a never-ending staircases. Good thing we wore our Teva sandals, which helped us stay comfortable and supported throughout the trek. Our legs were sore for a good couple of days after the hike! It’s also a good idea to leave any extra gear behind—there’s no need to carry a lot since the hike itself demands enough focus and energy. and bring at least a liter of water per person and food or snacks.
One thing to note is the cool spring you have to cross before reaching Hanakāpīʻai Beach. The water was refreshing but a bit tricky to cross, especially after the hike, so we had to take our time to make sure we didn't slip on the rocks. When we finally made it to the beach, as was told: it wasn’t really a place for swimming, as the waters can be rough and the strong currents can bring you miles away around the Napali coast and cannot be rescued fast enough. However, the fresh water pond near the beach was a great place to lounge around and cool off. It was full of tadpoles, which was a fun little surprise!
Overall, Haʻena State Park was an unforgettable part of our honeymoon, offering the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation in a truly magical setting. We’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai, especially those looking to enjoy nature and create special memories—but be prepared for a challenging hike!
