Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge的点评
点评：We were staying nearby with the plan to visit the refuge as much as possible at different times of day and did we ever! In 4 days we looped wildlife drive 7 times ! We have never seen so many eagles this close as we did in these visits. We also went to spots just outside the wildlife drive to see more eagles and warblers.
A bonus was getting to enjoy three sandhill crane families with colts. We needed some help finding them from other birders, but find them we did! Tons of blue herons too. It was such a memorable experience even though they are draining the main pond to improve the health of the marsh. The visitor center was very nice with helpful volunteers.
When you experience a NWF, you are thankful that these essential natural preserves exist for wildlife.
