点评：This site contains the small home in which Marion Morrison, aka John Wayne, was born. Next door they have built a larger hall as a tribute and museum. Admission includes both places. To me, the birth home was very interesting, and the guide there gave a great talk about how life was in the early 1900s when he was born, and about his early life, only the first part of which was spent in Winterset as the family moved frequently. It's furnished with a few bits of memoriabilia, mostly from the doctor, and period pieces to give an idea of how the house might have looked. The museum was more disappointing. There was one room with some props from different movies, but it didn't hold a lot. A second room had movie posters from his many films. This was pretty good, and dedicated fans will quite enjoy this. To me, though, it was light on his career compared to the price of admission.
