Do not miss the lighthouse!
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse的点评
点评：This park is amazing! The volunteer guides are excited about sharing their experiences and truly love the site! The lighthouse may be climbed and is not very tall so it's a relatively easy trek up and down. Do not miss the museum. The collection is extensive and there are actual logs of shipwrecks , etc that can be read. The amazing videos available also chronicle the destruction of the Fog Bell Tower during the winter storm of 2024 that decimated much of the New England coastline and then its rebuilding. There are beautiful picnic grounds under the trees and rock-climbing near the coastline - although caution is needed during high surf. Even if you don't climb the rocks, just watching the surf hit the rocky coastline is mesmerizing. Entrance fee is minimal and there is a gift shop and a nice art gallery also on site.
