they cancelled twice

点评：We booked a trip in early July. We drove all the way to Harwich, and it was cancelled because of high winds as we were pulling into the marina. We understood. The person did not offer any alternatives, just an apology and refund. Our 6 year old was very excited and was extremely disappointed. We were able to come back to the Cape later in the summer for my mother's birthday. Our 6 year old asked to rebook. She checked the weather all night and all morning. And then we got the call that our trip was cancelled due to mechanical issues. When I told the caller that the this was the second time our trip was cancelled, she gave an extremely condescending reply, like "Well, there is nothing we can do about the weather or mechanical problems." Sure. You can't control the weather, and I suppose well-maintained engines randomly break down, but still. It was a huge disappointment and they basically shrugged it off.
I'm sure these trips are great when they occur. Unfortunately we don't get to experience it. If I were trying to book this company in the future (which I won't be doing!), I would not build it up to your kids. I would be sure to alternative plans. I would be sure to keep an eye on the weather. I would call in advance to make sure they haven't been having issues lately.
We booked with the Hyline for a very similar trip later today, and it was less expensive. We are very glad we found that option for today.
I'm sure these trips are great when they occur. Unfortunately we don't get to experience it. If I were trying to book this company in the future (which I won't be doing!), I would not build it up to your kids. I would be sure to alternative plans. I would be sure to keep an eye on the weather. I would call in advance to make sure they haven't been having issues lately.
