点评：We visited the area to get a better sense of the cave dwellings and how they are really used in modern times. While the Cave Museum was interesting, I wanted to see better how the caves are really used in modern times. I went for a walk around Purellena to get a first-hand look. While there are undoubtedly some families still living in cave houses, there are many more living in modern stand-alone houses. Many of the cave dwellings appear to be used for storage; some perhaps for weekend stays. While the cave houses offer great potential for reducing fuel and airconditioning costs (consistent pleasant temperature year-round), they are also obviously dark (few windows to outside natural light) and cramped. Reports indicated the number of people living in the cave houses has been on a steady decline over recent decades. I would like to spend more time there and learn more about the actual situation.
