A fascinating walk with a knowledge local guide.

点评：We did a fantastic day walk with Jamal, Mohamed and Maria the mule. The weather was very hot and we had children/young people in the group so the pace and route was adjusted to allow for this. Jamal is a thoughtful and well educated guide who knows this local area and the local people like the back of his hand, because he grew up here. He took us to two villages to meet the families there and share some food. We learned about the impact of the 2023 earthquake and saw evidence of the resilience that local people have shown. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife including many different insects, and there was excitement about finding scorpions too. We wouldn’t hesitate to walk with Jamal again or to contact him about more extended trips to explore the High Atlas region. Thanks Jamal! We hope to meet you again.
