A must do, dog friendly, important history, beautiful views
Fort Walsh National Historic Site的点评
点评：Truly a special place that you need to visit!! I have a few details from my experience that might help you plan your trip here ☺️
1) DOG FRIENDLY!!! Me and my partner stopped here on a big road trip and I was worried the dog would have to stay in the truck when not on the trails but they are sooo accommodating I was beyond pleasantly surprised! We checked in at the visitor centre and were told we could still do a guided tour of the Fort, dogs just couldn’t come into the actual buildings which was fine because they allowed enough time for my partner and I to switch off holding the dog outside so the other could pop in and have a look around. Our pup was also allowed in the museum and movie theatre which was amazing, they just can’t come into the cafeteria which is understandable!
2)Timing. We spent just over 2 hours touring the fort and the museum. We didn’t go for any hikes as it was super rainy so I’d plan for a decent chunk of time here if you want to tour and hike!
3)Hiking. We originally came here to do the hike but the weather prevented us from setting out on any of the trails. I was disappointed at first but was then pleasantly surprised by how much else there was to do! We will have to come back to hike as the area is stunning!!!
4)Food. The cafeteria is super cute and a great place for a yummy little snack and coffee. I would recommend packing some snacks/food if you want to spend a long time here.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful views on the drive in/out and learning about a very important part of our Canadian history. I would come back here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend stopping in!!!

3）徒步旅行。我们本来是来这里徒步旅行的，但天气原因导致我们没能踏上任何一条路线。一开始我很失望，但后来惊喜地发现这里还有很多其他活动！我们一定会再来徒步旅行，因为这里景色太美了！！！
4）美食。自助餐厅超级可爱，是享用美味小吃和咖啡的好地方。如果你想在这里待很长时间，我建议你带上一些零食/食物。
总的来说，我非常享受开车往返途中欣赏的美景，并了解了加拿大历史上非常重要的一部分。我会毫不犹豫地再次来这里，强烈推荐大家来这里参观！！！
