Even if you don't like quilts but do love design and color, visit this museum!

点评：I love art and handcrafts though I don't quilt and don't especially like quilts. But it was a slow day, so I stopped into the museum. Wow! Who knew? Just visit and you'll quickly see there's some pretty wild art and sculpture happening in the quilting realm. In fact, this museum is proof-positive that the imagination is meant to wander totally out of the box. And it's all quilting! Of course, there are rooms and walls full of remarkable, beautifully designed and crafted traditional quilts, some quite old. That is worth seeing, in and of itself. But there are just as many walls and open spaces with whimsical, wild, remarkably intelligent and wonderful things happening here, including 3-dimensional sculptures. And so much color! It is pure dopamine. Allow 1 to 2 hours. All pieces are well-curated. Plenty of free parking out front. Elevators to each floor. Crowds weren't a problem. Moderate sized gift area with nice jewelry, scarves, notecards, t-shirts, etc.
