A marvellous mini trip.
Melissani Cave的点评
点评：Some of the reviews on TripAdvisor for this cave are pretty negative. I'm shaking my head in disbelief.
My wife wanted to visit it, I didn't know much about the Melissani Cave. We parked easily, queued for less than five minutes in the (thankfully) cool tunnel which descends to the small boat landing.
Having sat myself in the boat, I looked upwards at the distant disc of sky, and absorbed the wonder of sitting in a boat on crystalline waters, reflecting dancing patterns up the staggering chamber walls.
The boatman was a star. Within minutes, no one on our little boat were strangers. Despite the challenge of having to speak several languages, he had us all laughing and smiling. He told us about the cave, and its discovery. He happily answered any questions.
The boat trip lasted around fifteen minutes. It cost ten euros each, and was well worth the modest fee.
This is a wonder of nature, undiscovered for thousands of years. Having the opportunity to experience it is something which I recommend. We will certainly visit it again on our next trip to the island.
