Ste. Genevieve Museum Learning Center的点评
点评：Small town museums can be sad , dark and dusty little collections of bric-a-brac. This is NOT one of them! First time visitors, we were warmly welcomed first by the woman at the front desk, then by life-sized replica of a Missouri dinosaur, who presided over a fascinating and well presented displays of some of the earliest inhabitants of Ste. Genevieve. On the second floor we were again welcomed by two of the owners and curators of this museum, who were waiting for someone else, but managed to be on hand to point out certain artifacts of the town’s human inhabitants and explain others. We were made to feel like the special guests they were awaiting, even showing us an exhibit not yet out on display, back in a side office. A tiny box diorama of the inside of a German U-boat, crafted by a local man, will soon be accessible to later visitors, but it was on display for us as a sneak preview that morning. We were pleasantly astonished by this small but professionally presented museum. It was time well spent!
