点评:We visited Marine World hoping for a fun day out, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing and costly trip.
Getting There:
We took Bus 99 straight to Hakata Port, which was convenient. From there, we paid 1,200 yen per person (one way) for a short 20-minute ferry ride. The ferry was quite small, but surprisingly stable and comfortable enough.
At the Park:
Admission was 2,500 yen per adult, which we found quite steep for what was offered. The park itself is small with limited exhibits and very little to actually see or do. It felt more like a children’s attraction, and when we were there, it was crowded with noisy school groups on field trips. Not exactly the relaxing or educational experience we hoped for.
Getting Back:
The return trip was frustrating. The ferry only runs five times a day, and we missed the next one – meaning a 2-hour wait. Instead of waiting, we searched online, walked to a nearby bus stop, and caught the only bus (25A) back to the city for 400 yen per person.
Overall:
This trip felt like a waste of time and money. Between transport costs, limited exhibits, and poor return options, I wouldn’t recommend visiting Marine World unless you have kids with you and a lot of patience for rigid schedules. Definitely not worth it for adult visitors looking for a full, engaging day out.
