点评:only time i ever felt cheated in japan. the ride itself was smooth, but to get on the train at nippori station i tried to pay via suica but noticed the entrance didn’t have the usual scanner. the ladies directed me to a ticket booth. booth didn’t accept credit card so i paid w cash ¥1200.
after I got off at the stop for terminal 2/3 I inserted my physical ticket into the scanner thing but some men stopped me and said “ic” repeatedly. I pulled out my suica on my iphone and gestured, they agreed, and i scanned thinking it was just some kind of tracking thing. instead my suica card got charged ¥1267.
tldr; the exit ticket booth took my physical ticket and the gentlemen manning the booth made me pay via suica. overall the ride costed me ¥2467
if the actual price up front was 2467 i still would’ve done it but paying twice at the entrance and exit was psychologically not a great experience
