点评：We were referred to Explore Lismore by The Chaotic Scott blogger when she helped us plan our trip and sooooo glad we took her advice! We opted for the Lismore w/shepherd experience. When we arrived on Lismore we were met by Iris who warmly greeted us and packed us into her car. We set off to explore different parts of the island. She first took us to see some seals who had been on one part of the island the previous day—they were no longer there, but able to see some hairy coos! The foliage and fauna was just gorgeous and Iris told us all about the native plants and those brought to the island. We continued to explore different parts such as the quarry, some ruins, etc. Then she took us to meet some of her artists friends because my son has an interest in architecture. We loved their work and were excited to bring some of Lismore home with us! We had a wee break for lunch and the cafe was fantastic. Three of us ordered the highland beef hamburger—which was delicious. Until I remembered just seeing their cute faces. Following lunch, Iris picked us back up and we saw a few more sites and then went to meet with Arthur. Arthur and his dogs Misty and Fly were AMAZING! Tho we didn’t get to pet sheep, seeing them being rounded up and moved throughout the farm was such a great experience. We finished the trip with some of Iris’ baked goods and tea. Soooo delicious. The most humorous part of the day was almost not making it off the ferry! They called for car drivers, but never passengers to depart. We thought we felt the ferry moving so peaked out and realized they were departing the port! Luckily they returned and dropped us and other ferry passengers off! So make sure you leave WITH the cars or you might just have a round trip ferry ride!
