点评:The caverns are a beautiful natural wonder in a most beautiful state. To build a cheesy amusement park around this natural wonder turns the place into a carnival attraction. The tours are led by minimally knowledgeable tour guides, who inadequately describe natural formations as a pigs head or Oscar award trophy. The frequent winds shut down the gondola rides so you risk getting stuck on the mountaintop until winds subside. If you buy an amusement ride combination ticket be aware that ride operators, who appear to be younger and scruffy, caused the death of a 6 year old by not securely belting her into a thrill ride. Why any parent would allow a 6 yead old on a coaster that loops, or a ride that drops violently is another story.
Obviously lots of people like these rides and the owners are in the business of turning a profit. From the get go, charging $10 in an unmoniyored gravel lot across the street is just a money grab.
Compare and cobtrast this attraction to the free and naturally beautiful garden of the gods park and visitors center and you'll get the point.
Still, if you don't mind these things and want to see a beautiful cavern, this is a great place to visit.
