点评:A hockey game here is incredibly loud. We've been to other sporting events, including collegiate ice hockey, and my kid does have noise cancelling headphones, however.... I don't know if it's the acoustics or what, but for a bigger venue than say a college hockey venue, it seems sounds are louder. I don't think my kid would have a good time here even with the headphones.
Prudential Center concessions are ridiculously and needlessly expensive. Don't ask what I paid for a bag of pretzels and a bottle of soda.
My ticket was in Section 131 which is the nosebleed seats but still had great sightlines, helped by the lights on the ice and the Jumbotron.
There are better seats but are either suite level (the two sections directly below where I was) or are premium seats.
You can watch warmup but unless you're in one of those premium seats, the chance of getting a puck is slim to none. There's netting from the top of the Plexiglas to the ceiling where you can stand to watch warmup.
An Official (with a capital O) game puck with case is $25. They have other, souvenir pucks with different designs sans case for $10 that are just as nice.
I really like the Devils promoting their First Game certificates. Real easy too : Leave your name on a pad and pick it up by third period. And two locations, too. A lot of places are getting rid of such certificates, or are doing print at home (boo!) Doesn't cost a lot to do them, so it was nice to see the Devils doing this.
