华盛顿山登山小火车的点评
点评：I love New Hampshire! Beautiful state and the White Mountain area does not disappoint. I have visited with family a few times over the years. We always take the Cog up to the summit for the majestic views. It was my cousin's first time and I was so happy that we got a great brakeman. The brakeman keeps you safe on the ride up and back, and also provides trivia and interesting facts about the area and the Cog. We had Anvil on the trip up and he was fabulous!!! Very funny and informative. I would ride with him again. I actually learned a couple new facts! (BTW, make sure you bring some cash to tip your brakeman).
The summit is wonderful. Many opportunities for pictures with impressive backgrounds. Other tourists are always very nice and take turns and help each other out with group pics. The food was good at the top of the summit. Nice to get some hot drinks when it is a cold day. My helpful hint is to dress in layers and bring a wind breaker. It is much colder at the summit and the wind whips around and through your clothes. You also want hiking boots or a good shoe if you plan on walking the trails. This is a mild to moderate hike. Not real long but there are a few spots that are tricky if you have a bad knee or ankle. Otherwise, people of most ages can get around without much issue.
If you are visiting NH, this should be on your list of things to do!
