The manor house is still closed for renovation but the Pumpkin Blaze was wonderful!

点评：The Van Cortlandt Manor still is closed for visits because of renovations but during the months of October and November it is decorated with hundreds of pumpkins for The Blaze.
Because of work, I visited the Blaze the last weekend that it was open and since it was so quiet, I got to walk all the displays with plenty of elbow room and got to take some fantastic videos and pictures. I did not see too many changes to the displays from last year but the ones that were up I was able to enjoy in more detail.
The Light Tunnel and the Merry go Round were more interesting when there aren’t throngs of crowds around them. I walked through the light tunnel and got to enjoy the lights zipping past me.
The light show at the Van Cortland Manor was different than last year and the various lights, sounds and music were interesting and the display very surreal and enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the show this year and can’t wait to come back.
