点评:If you’re a horror fan visiting Tokyo, Deathmatch in Hell is absolutely worth checking out. Our party of three arrived a little before the 8pm opening on a Wednesday night, and even then one person was already waiting outside. By the time the owner opened the door, a couple more people had joined the line. The place is tiny — maybe six to eight seats total — so we followed the first guest in and grabbed spots at the bar. Within minutes, the place was completely packed with people standing behind us waiting for seats.
The vibe is exactly what horror and metal fans would hope for. Japanese horror films, Evil Dead clips, metal blasting, walls packed with horror memorabilia and stacks of VHS tapes everywhere — it felt like stepping into a hidden little horror clubhouse. Every drink being 666 yen is such a fun touch, and the Japanese whiskies on the rocks were great. We chatted horror with the owner for a bit before moving on so others could sit and enjoy the experience. Super memorable spot and definitely recommended — just get there a little early if you want a seat!
